Grant Writing

Our grant writing services cover all aspects necessary for a successful application, including the preparation of templates, collection of essential information from project participants, and meticulous proposal assembly tailored to specific call criteria. We provide comprehensive budget planning, strategy building support, and proposal submission, extending to Grant Agreement preparation. Our partnership with Rosenthal Research offers professional market analysis, enhancing your application’s competitiveness. Additionally, we organise hands-on workshops on Grant Writing, equipping you with the knowledge and skills for success.

Impact, exploitation and valorisation

In Horizon Europe and national schemes like FWO, impact is one of the three scored criteria — and it is the part applicants find hardest. Reviewers want to know who will use the result, how it reaches the market or the clinic, and how the intellectual property and exploitation are handled. We write that section: the impact narrative, the exploitation and valorisation plan, the route to market and the IP strategy, connected properly to the objectives and the work plan. It is written by someone who has done the underlying work, not only the wording: business-development support to SMEs, and the design of biotechnology and tech-transfer centres as an EU Key Expert. That background is what makes a valorisation section read as credible rather than aspirational.

Grant Assessment (opens in a new tab)

We read a proposal the way an evaluator will. That means checking it against the eligibility and award criteria of the specific call, proofreading it, flagging the internal contradictions that panels seize on, and returning comments you can act on rather than a score. Whetmark is our own review tool, built at SNM for exactly this stage. It reads a draft against the evaluation reports EU panels actually wrote, maps each recorded criticism to the criterion it falls under, quotes the passage that prompts it, and marks the suggested fixes into the Word document as tracked changes. It runs on a private instance, so an unsubmitted proposal never reaches a cloud service.

Document editing and translation

Our expertise extends to all facets of scientific writing, from drafting impactful scientific publications to compiling comprehensive project reports. Our service ensures your research is presented clearly, professionally, and in a manner that resonates with your target audience, maximising the impact and dissemination of your findings. In today’s global research environment, effective communication across languages is vital. We offer translation services in English, Spanish, Catalan, German, French, and Turkish, ensuring your documents are accurately translated, maintaining the original meaning and context. Whether for scientific publications, project reports, or grant proposals, our translation services facilitate seamless international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
